Our Kitchen Studio is finally back from a 2 year hiatus thru a group baking demo sponsored by Agripacific Corporation.
It was truly a day full of learnings as we navigated our way to baking breads and pastries with the help of Chef Arvin Cariaga and the rest of Agripacific's technical team.
The theme of the event is Cafe Breads and Pastries. Participants were able to lear how to bake Korean Garlic Bun, Coffee Bun, Meat Floss Bun, Caramel Ensaymada, Chocolate Spanish Bread, and pastries like crinkles, cupcakes and brownies. Bread recipes use Peacock Instant Yeast and Ultra Bake Shortening, while the sweet pastries use Hercules All Purpose Flour, Gold Bake Butter Oil Substitute and Pacific Sunrise Vegetable Oil. The first batch in the morning session are the kids from 7-15 age range, while the second batch afternoon session are the parent and child tandem for the kids 6 years and below.
It was a morning full of learning and fun as the participants work their way around the kitchen. Each child got to bake cupcakes, whip their frosting and experience decorating cupcakes in a real baking studio.

In this class, the students learned how to make Chef Bam's signature italian meringue buttercream and salted caramel frosting and bake the perfect fluffy, moist and pillowy soft chiffon cake. Participants also learned how to pipe buttercream roses and fillers, and do basic cake calligraphy. Chef Bam also showed how to make a to-die-for ube version of her salted caramel frosting.
